Mini Interview:

1      When did you first start writing?  When I was in high school.

2      Did you always want to be a writer? If not what did you want to be? I had joined the fanfiction community in highschool to rewrite scenes from the TV shows I used to watch. Then I was making up my own stories with those characters and realized that I should be making real stories outside of fanfiction. I really enjoy writing.

3      What genre do you prefer to work within? Or do you mix it up?   I like to write sexy stories of all kinds.

4      What has your publishing experience been like?  It would have been a lot scarier without some of my author friends by my side helping me along the way. (Red Phoenix, Lindsay Ann Kendal, Emily Guido, Krystal Shannon and so many more!)

5      Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? i.e. You listen to music, sit in a certain chair? Gotta have my music on! Always! It can be any kind of music really, it helps me tune out of the rest of the world and focus on my writing.

6      How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books?

Most of them are places I’ve lived before and old friends of the past (kindergarten teachers just switched names around)

7      In your most recent work, who is your favorite character and why?

I love Molly! She has so much spunk and spark. She is full of life and with Tristan’s help she is getting it back! She has grown so much as a character since I first wrote her.

8      Did you learn anything from writing your book?  What was it?

Never give up. There were a lot of times that I felt blocked and I couldn’t write anymore but I kept at it and stayed focused.

9      How did you/do you market your work?

My facebook, twitter, amazon. Supporting friends. It’s karma guys, share others things and they will share for you!

10   Can you describe the feeling you had when you saw your published book for the first time?  There was so much awe and emotion going through my body. Felt like I was floating on the clouds, sunshine and spring.

11   Favorite authors?

Red Phoenix, Lindsay Ann Kendal, Emily Guido, Krystal Shannon – also the best friends an author could have

12   Have you ever suffered from a “writer’s block”? What did you do to get past the “block”? Take a walk, listened to music. Just gotta step away from the laptop and refresh your mind. Do something non book related and then go back to it.

13   What piece of advice would you give to a new writer?

If you really are a writer, you will write! Nothing can stop you. Keep on writing and shine!

14   Are you working on anything new?  If so, can you tell me about it? I’m working on the sequel to Molly’s Curse and it’s going to be crazy. I can’t spoil the first books ending but the second book is more about Tristan and what’s really going on with him.
