USA Today bestselling author, Nina Pierce, resides in New England with her high school sweetheart and soul mate of twenty-nine years and several spoiled cats who consider her staff. She spends her days at the keyboard writing romance stories, blissfully creating chaos for her characters by throwing in a villain or two, a little murder and a whole lot of mayhem as they struggle toward their happy-ever-afters.

I came to writing unexpectedly. I had the job of my heart teaching science at an outreach nature museum when the multiple sclerosis that had been percolating in the background of my life reared its ugly head and made teaching impossible. As a voracious reader it only seemed a natural progression to turn my love of romance into a career. I now write fulltime. I love using the logical thought processes of science to create suspense stories that twist and turn.
My most recent release, IN HIS EYES, is actually based on a real life couple that rented my parents’ beach cottage. They were going through a trial separation and the story of a serial killer focused on the wife was born. At the time of the writing I was actually living in the cottage where the story was based and it was both creepy and thrilling to imagine the killer in the rooms while the story unfolded on the pages.
For me, the most difficult part of writing is letting go and letting the characters tell their story. Words don’t just flow from my fingers. I pull them with great effort out of the ether, bleeding every paragraph, every page, and every chapter onto the page. And now that the book is receiving 4 and 5 star reviews it makes all the long hours writing worth the blood and sweat it took to mold this story. There’s nothing like the thrill of having a reader tell you how much they enjoyed your writing and that you kept them guessing until the last page.
